CAFES

Vancouverites love their coffee. They can even be a little snobby about it, although not in a "double tall no whip low fat soy latte" kind of way, but more in a "these beans were roasted in the back of this coffee shop 20 mintues ago" kind of way.

If Vancouver ever came up on a coffee shortage the city would grind to halt within a matter of hours.  The city essentially runs on the stuff.  There are more than our share of starbucks and other Java Inc. stores around yet Vancouver has also operated as a breeding ground for quality cafes where you can sit and enjoy a cup of coffee while exploring the creative side of your personality. So bring a sketchbook, journal, laptop or whatever else you need to spend a couple of hours getting creative.
