SIX ACRES
Behind Gassy Jack's statue is Six Acres, a small nook in Vancouver's oldest brick building, which stands on the site of Gassy Jack's Deighton Hotel. Six Acres is popular for its extensive beer menu and delicious sharing plates. The menus are glued inside children's books, adding to the venue's charm.
The space is small and space is limited, making the place more intimate and great for small groups, so skip it if you are looking to host a night out with your 25 best friends. Take refuge from the winter's rain and head inside where the lights glow a warm yellow and the interior greenery cascades down from the second level mezzanine. In the summer, Six Acres extends out on to the sidewalk with a small outdoor seating area where you can people-watch well after dark thanks to the hanging lights above.
